Chick-fil-A opening second location in Toronto on January 7

It’s official: Chick-fil-A is opening its second Toronto location in Toronto next week. This time, the eatery will be slingin’ chicken at Yorkdale Mall.

The Atlanta-based restaurant chain, best known for its mouthwatering fried chicken sandwiches, biscuits, and waffle fries, opened its first Toronto location in Summer 2019.

The debut of the Bloor-Yonge eatery stirred controversy and was met by protests, due to its history of funding anti-LGBT groups, some of which oppose same-sex marriage and ex-gay conversion therapy.

Despite this, the fast-food chain boasts a loyal following and already operates more than 2,300 outlets in the USA, plus the 1 Bloor Street East spot, which frequently draws lineups out the door.

“Chick-fil-A Yorkdale Mall will open on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 10 am! We’re looking forward to kicking off the new year with our second Toronto location, and excited for it to be in one of Canada’s most popular food courts,” reads a post on the company’s website.

Expect quick service, signature menu items, and 10 am to 10 pm operating hours from Monday to Saturday.

Chick-fil-A Yorkdale will be closed on Sundays.
