There are only a couple of months left in 2019 and Montreal is bustling with things to do, events, activities, and exciting personalities all November.

Here are 28 things to keep you busy for the penultimate month of 2019.

MTLĂ TABLE

Comedy Crowd OFF

If you’ve ever sweated through a stand-up comedy show while sitting in the front row, the tables may have now turned in your favour.

Comedy Crowd OFF, a new comedy club in downtown Montreal, encourages audience members to heckle the comics, rewarding the best chirpers with a prize at the end of the night.

“Use all those comebacks you thought of in the shower and lead your table to victory,” reads the Comedy Crowd OFF Facebook page. The venue continues to describe ‘heckling’ as to interrupt or harass a stand-up comedian during a performance. Heckling is done through the means of yelling, jeering, and roasting.

Yelawolf

Michael Wayne Atha, better known by his stage name Yelawolf, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Atha embarked on his career in 2005, releasing independent solo material until he hit it big a few years ago.

He’s in Montreal as part of a North American tour at the timeless Theatre Corona.

Comedy at the Art Loft

Comedy at the Art Loft is the hottest underground comedy show in Montreal. It’s the city’s only weekly bilingual show and is run out of a private loft on rue Saint-Laurent and is usually packed with people. It feels like a college part, except a comedian is slinging jokes into a microphone.

The hosts, headliners, and featured acts change weekly and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date.

The venue features a DJ and snacks. BYOB and it’s 420 friendly. Very 420 friendly.

Marco Antonio Muñiz, known professionally as Marc Anthony, is a Nuyorican singer, actor, fashion designer, producer, and philanthropist.

Anthony is also the top-selling tropical salsa artist of all time. The two-time Grammy Award and six-time Latin Grammy Award winner has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide and he’ll be at the Bell Centre in early November.

Barack Obama – Bell Centre

Former US president Barack Obama is coming back to Montreal.

President Obama will be the featured speaker at an engagement at the Bell Centre on November 14.

The event is being organized by La Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain and it will mark the politician’s second visit to the city as a speaker.

Sebastian Maniscalco – You Bother Me Tour

Something funny is going to be in the air this month as Sebastian Maniscalco makes his way towards Montreal.

Just For Laughs announced that fresh off a wildly successful two-year run, the Chicago-native will be performing at the Bell Centre.

As his new tour’s title suggests, Maniscalco uses his exaggerated physical style of comedy and his laser wit as he focuses on issues with other people’s oddities, specifically his loved ones.

Maniscalco has enjoyed a recent surge of popularity lately, having just completed his “Stay Hungry” tour which included four sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden which was also turned into a Netflix special.

Sum 41 & The Offspring

Two long-standing punk bands have announced a co-headline tour across Canada, giving Canadians a double dose of rock’n’roll and they’ll be getting In Too Deep mid-November.

Canadian rock band Sum 41 and American rock band The Offspring will be blowing the roof off of Place Bell as part of their 14-city tour across the country.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in Concert

It’s time to freshen up on your spell books, muggles. A live Harry Potter concert is coming to Montreal.

The cultural phenomena that is Harry Potter has delighted fans all over the world, and now, the magic is set to take over Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier for two dates at the end of the month.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will play on a giant screen while a full symphony performs Nicholas Hooper’s magical score from the movie. The film will be played in English with French subtitles.

Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives

A handful of mummies will be continuing their world tour when they cozy up to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts for a few months, starting in September.

The exhibition, Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives, will be the mummies’ first North American exposition, following “tremendous success in Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan,” according to the MMFA.

As per the press release, the British Museum has reconstructed the lives of six individuals who lived along the Nile from about 900 BC to AD 180.

If one of them gets up and starts haunting you, however, that’s NOT part of the exhibition.

Check out your favourite actors, athletes, and artists in wax form. The figurines are displayed beautifully through the four-floor museum that also features optical illusions and interactive displays. It’s admittedly pretty creepy staring into Elvis’ eyes, especially if he starts blinking.
