This Edmonton restaurant delivers hotpot kits right to your door
Many restaurants and bars have had to restructure their services and offerings since the onset of the pandemic. Liuyishou Hotpot in Edmonton is no exception.
Liuyishou Hotpot, like many other eateries, has been hit hard by COVID-19 restrictions and closures, but they’ve come up with a new way to bring their delicious meals to Edmontonians.
The Chinese restaurant is now offering a hotpot delivery service for family parties, business banquets, outdoor picnics, or cozy nights at home.
For those not in the know, hotpot is a cooking method that originated in China, typically done using a portable gas stove on a dining table.
Raw ingredients like vegetables and meat are cooked by dipping them in a pot of boiling soup stock, often serves with noodles and sauces on the side.

Starting at $80 for two, Liuyishou’s hotpot kits come with individually packed soup bases, noodles, vegetables, sliced meats, and dipping sauces.
Liuyishou Hotpot offers high-quality vegetables and proteins, with meat options ranging from pork neck, New Zealand lamb, sliced beef, and lots of fresh seafood.

Hotpot hopefuls don’t even have to prep anything for the meal. For a $20 deposit, the Edmonton restaurant will include a portable butane gas stove, a 28-centimetre cooking pot, and a can of gas.
Chopsticks are provided free of charge, so all you need is a table and water.
Liuyishou Hotpot has 18 locations across North America and, after seeing the success of hotpot delivery service in their three Toronto restaurants, they are now expanding the service to Edmonton.
