John Cena shouts out two downtown Edmonton coffee shops
Actor and former WWE wrestler John Cena was in Edmonton this past weekend, and while you may not have seen him, he left behind a couple of recommendations for where to grab a cup of coffee.
Cena was in the city for Edmonton Expo, and during an audience Q&A, he took some time to shout out two downtown cafes.
“I got two fantastic flat whites today,” he said, adding that he picked them up from Fawkes and Credo on 104th Street.
“Coffee was great, so thank you for starting my day out fantastic.”
He even liked Fawkes enough to post a photo of the downtown cafe’s interior on Instagram, showing off his pastry and flat white.

Credo Coffee (10134 104th St. NW) is an Edmonton staple and one of our favourite Edmonton cafes, serving up high-quality coffee, drinks, and bites since 2009.
Meanwhile, Fawkes Cafe & Bakery (10137 104th St. NW) opened in 2022 and serves coffee, sandwiches, and baked goods, including some fantastic vegan donuts.

So, if you’re looking for a velvety, espresso-forward flat white downtown, you can’t go wrong with either spot. And since the two cafes are directly across from each other on 104th Street, you could always take Cena’s advice and try both for yourself!
