Two new Costco locations are set to open in Alberta this fall

Costco shoppers in Alberta will soon have two new locations to check out, with both stores set to open this fall.
According to Costco’s website, the new locations are located in northeast Edmonton and Lloydminster.
According to Alberta Major Projects, a building permit was issued by the City of Edmonton on April 16, 2026, for the new Costco located at 289 Ebbers Blvd. NW.
The project is valued at approximately $28 million and includes not only plans for the warehouse store, but also an adjoining liquor store and gas bar.
The new Costco will be located in Manning Town Centre in northeast Edmonton, bringing the city’s total number of Costco locations to five. There is also a Costco Business Centre located in west Edmonton.

As for Lloydminster, back in 2023 it was projected that the Costco would be roughly 160,000 square feet and be located on a nearly 20-acre parcel of land.
The store will be located at 75th Avenue and 19th Street, with plans for 900 parking stalls, marking the city’s first Costco location.
Both locations are expected to open in November 2026, meaning Albertans won’t have to wait much longer before the two new stores open their doors.
With the two new locations open, there will be a total of 20 Costco locations in Alberta, and there are others in the works in Calgary and Stony Plain.
The Calgary location is planned for Bingham Crossing in the city’s southwest, while another was recently revealed to be coming to the Stony Plain area, just west of Edmonton.
