Canadian national park named one of the most beautiful in the world
A visit to a national park is always lovely, and a Canadian spot has just been tapped as one of the most beautiful in the world.
Condé Nast Traveller has ranked the 17 most beautiful national parks in the world, and a spot in Canada made the cut.
The travel magazine named Banff National Park in Alberta to its list, even adding that its addition comes as “no surprise.”

The park dates way back to the 1880s, when a set of hot springs, which we now know as Cave and Basin, were discovered, prompting the Canadian government to step in to protect the springs and the surrounding area.
Banff is frequently touted as one of the most breathtaking spots in Canada, sometimes even the world, and for good reason. The national park welcomed a record 4.51 million visitors in 2025, thanks to its natural and architectural wonders, including its vast number of hiking trails, glaciers, bright blue lakes (hello there, Peyto and Moraine Lake), and a historic mountain hotel that looks like a castle.

Banff is no stranger to the spotlight. It has a pretty impressive track record, being named a top travel destination for 2026 by National Geographic, one of the most picturesque places in the world, and was also recognized as one of the most beautiful places in the world by Architectural Digest.
Other national parks around the world that joined Banff National Park on the list included Namib-Naukluft National Park in Namibia, Kelimutu National Park in Indonesia, and Yellowstone National Park in the U.S.
