Lotto Max second prize split between two lucky Canadians

After scoring the Lotto Max second prize, two lucky Canadian lottery players will be taking home some pretty impressive wins.

The draw took place on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and the Lotto Max jackpot was worth $25 million. The winning numbers were 03, 07, 14, 22, 29, 33, and 50, with a bonus number of 43. No one won the top prize this time, but after they matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number, two people will split the second prize. According to PlayNow, the tickets were sold somewhere in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Split between them, each winner will take home their share worth $74,190.90.

The third prize was split between 27 lottery players across Canada who matched six of the seven winning numbers. Each will receive $5,495.60.

In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize, and similarly in Ontario, no one will be taking home the $1-million Encore top prize.

It hasn’t been long since someone took home a huge Lotto Max jackpot.

A Canadian lottery player is set for life after scoring the $75 million top prize during the draw on Tuesday, Aug. 19. The winning numbers were 07, 10, 11, 17, 19, 34, 45, and bonus 36.

According to OLG, a lucky lottery player in Ontario will be taking home the $75-million windfall.

“Check your Lotto Max tickets, Ontario!” reads the release. “The $75-million Lotto Max jackpot-winning ticket from last night’s draw was sold in Kingston!”

Hoping to try your luck again? The next draw is set for Friday, Aug. 29, and the jackpot is worth an estimated $30 million.
