One Canadian lottery player’s life has changed overnight after winning the massive Lotto Max jackpot.

The Lotto Max draw took place on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and the winning numbers were 07, 10, 11, 17, 19, 34, 45, and bonus 36.

After weeks without a top prize winner, it was a highly anticipated draw as the jackpot had climbed to an impressive $75 million.

This time, someone managed to match the seven winning numbers to win the life-changing prize. According to OLG, a lucky lottery player in Ontario will be taking home the $75 million windfall.

“Check your Lotto Max tickets, Ontario!” reads the release. “The $75 million Lotto Max jackpot-winning ticket from last night’s draw was sold in Kingston!”

Another Ontario winner will also take home the second prize after they matched six of the seven winning numbers. They’ll split the prize with another second-prize winner from Quebec. They’ll take home their share worth $153,055.30. The ticket was sold in Toronto.

There were 12 Maxmillions to be won during Tuesday’s draw, and two people each scored a $1 million prize. The tickets were sold in Western Canada and Chatham-Kent, Ont.

In B.C., two people split the Lotto Max Extra prize worth $500,000 after the winners purchased their tickets in Tappen and Vancouver. No one in Ontario won the $1 million Encore prize, but two people each won an Encore prize worth $100,000 after buying their tickets in Mississauga and on the OLG website.

So far, 2025 has proven especially lucky for Lotto Max players in Ontario with five jackpot wins across the province. In addition to Tuesday’s winner, other Ontario winners include:

  • A group of coworkers from Etobicoke who won $60 million
  • A retiree who purchased his $25 million-winning ticket in Willowdale
  • A retiree who bought his ticket in Oshawa and won $40 million
  • A Newmarket resident who won $65 million

The most recent Lotto Max win was on July 11 when two people from Quebec split the $70 million prize.

Jacques Deschamps, a 60-something entrepreneur living in Montérégie and Wilhelmina Van Leeuwen, a retiree from Montréal, instantly became $35 million richer. Deschamps plans to buy a condo in Montréal, while Van Leeuwen said she plans to travel first class. Read their full story here.
