There’s luck, and then there’s the kind that lands you three lottery wins, and one Canadian man just proved he has it.
Nadim Faza is now one of a very exclusive group of lottery winners who know what it’s like to beat the most unlikely odds to win for the third time. Over 20 years after his first win, Faza is back to claim another prize.
The year 2004 was a memorable one for Faza, as it was the first time he won big: a Lotto 6/49 prize worth $159,000. Then, 18 years later, in 2022, he won his biggest prize yet: a Lotto 6/49 prize worth $1 million.

While claiming his second win, the father and grandfather said that he always plays the same game.
“I told my family about the win, and they were excited for me,” he said at the time.
Faza also said that he has a big family and plans to use some of his winnings to help his children with their mortgages.
Now, two years later, he’s back at the OLG Prize Centre to claim a prize — this time after playing a different game.
After buying an Ontario 49 ticket, the 72-year-old engineer proved that he really is just that lucky — he scored a second prize worth $50,000 in the Nov. 1, 2025, draw.
“I checked my ticket on OLG.ca, and the first thing I did was wake up my wife and daughter to share the news,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it. I was over the moon.”

Once again, he said he’ll be sharing his winnings with his children and plans to go on vacation somewhere warm.
The generous grandpa said, “This is great timing, as Christmas is here and I can spend it on my grandchildren.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky 7 Convenience & Smoke on Oxford Street in Richmond Hill.
Other three-time lottery winners include Neil Carter, whose biggest prize to date is $1 million, Vincent Charlemagne, who won a $30-million jackpot in 2013, and Miroslaw Hawrylak, who claimed a $50,000 prize in 2024.
