Calgary's month-long ice cream festival is back — here's the lineup of 30+ places to hit

Calgary’s biggest celebration of ice cream officially kicks off this week.
YYC Ice Cream Fest officially kicks off on July 18 and will be running right through to August 18, with more than 30 cafes, restaurants, and scoop shops taking part in the festivities.
The event, which has been put together by the team behind YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, launched in 2022, will help to raise money for Calgary Meals on Wheels, with up to $3 from each item sold going to the organization.
Calgarians will also be able to vote for their favourites, with awards for YYC’s Best Scoop, Best Non-Dairy Scoop and the Golden Scoop Award – the best-selling item from the festival – all up for grabs.
