We always love a celebrity sighting at the Calgary Stampede, and this year, some of Netflix’s biggest stars paid a visit to the grounds.

During the rodeo on Saturday, June 5, the cast of the hit Netflix series My Life With the Walter Boys shared some love for the city, with one particular bar receiving special recognition.

Stars of the show, Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry, stopped by the Calgary Stampede to talk about the highly anticipated second season of the show, filmed in Alberta.

As such, the cast has spent a lot of time around Calgary, shouting out some surprising favourite food spots in the city in the past. However, at the rodeo, they were asked about their favourite spot in the city, and it was certainly on brand for the time of year.

“I want to give a big shoutout to Ranchman’s,” Gentry said, drawing cheers from the rodeo crowd.

The iconic country nightclub has been a Calgary institution for decades, drawing crowds over to Macleod Trail for country music, line dancing, and so much more.

“Love it or hate it, it wouldn’t be Calgary without it. Am I right?” Gentry added.

During the rodeo festivities, the cast also announced that the second season of the show would air on August 28.

While Ranchman’s hasn’t made it onto the Netflix series just yet, a ton of restaurants and bars in and around Calgary have appeared in My Life With The Walter Boys so far, from local neighbourhood pubs to a Mexican eatery.

We can’t wait to see what Calgary spots appear in season two. The countdown is on!
