Beloved Italian restaurant in Calgary shutters after four years

A Calgary restaurant, known for its fresh pasta and Italian fare, has taken its final bow.
Four years after opening to the public, Crescent Heights’ Sorella Trattoria has now closed its doors, with its final service taking place on Sunday, Aug. 30.
“To our loyal guests — thank you. Thank you for every meal, celebration, and memory you’ve shared with us. Your support and loyalty have meant more than words can express, and you’ve become part of the Sorella family,” the Sorella team said in a statement on its website.

After opening in May 2022, the restaurant quickly became popular for its fresh pasta and small plates, with the aim of offering a fresh take on Italian cuisine, but one that was still rooted in family tradition.
Sorella will certainly be missed by many in the community.
