One of Calgary's most renowned steakhouses is hosting a month-long pop-up
In what has become an annual tradition, Modern Steak will be hosting a month-long pop-up in September, and this time, diners will be treated to a taste of Tuscany.
La Buca, a limited-time pop-up, will be taking place at Modern Steak’s Stephen Avenue and Southport locations, and bringing a Tuscan steakhouse experience to the city.
The six-course tasting menu, designed by Chef Michael Scarcelli, executive chef at the recently opened Lusi Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria and former chef at Modern Steak, will walk diners through Florence’s rich culinary traditions, featuring handmade pastas and cuts of Alberta prime beef.

The pop-up will run from Thursday to Sunday in September, with a menu price of $159 per person.
The experience can also be elevated with optional Tuscan wine pairings, carefully selected to complement each dish, for an additional $54. The restaurant will also serve a curated list of cocktails, including the Vin Santo Manhattan, Rosemary & Olive Oil Martini, and a La Pesca Spritz.
