It’s a sad day for breakfast food enthusiasts as an iconic chain has officially closed one of its Calgary locations.

Despite being listed as temporarily closed on Google, Denny’s confirmed that its 17th Avenue outpost closed in August, after operating for just over four years. However, no reason was given for the closure.

The spot was known for its all-day breakfast, including its signature slams and pancakes, burgers, and other diner staples.

Luckily for Denny’s fans in Calgary, the chain still operates several locations across the city, including Motel Village, Crossroads, McKnight, Macleod Trail, Deerfoot Meadows, Peigan, Bowridge Drive, Barlow Trail, and Crowfoot.

While it’s the end of an era for 17th Avenue, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled to see what’s next for the space.

Denny’s – 17th Avenue

Address: 1116 17th Ave. SW, Calgary
