A popular pub has just opened a brand-new location in Calgary, and those in the southeast are going to be thrilled.

After teasing the location earlier this year, Leopold’s Tavern has officially opened its newest outpost at 4141 Market St. SE, marking its fifth in the city.

Leopold’s Tavern – or Leo’s as it is commonly known – originated in Regina and is a classic bar, offering a wide range of local craft beers, house cocktails, wine, and zero-proof beverages.

However, guests won’t want to miss out on the food either, with tons of weekly deals from Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday, as well as handhelds and appetizers.

One of its most well-known and loved dishes is its poutine, which comes with toppings ranging from the original cheese curds and gravy to buffalo chicken.

If you’re up for a challenge, the chain is home to the enormous punchbowl poutine, which includes five pounds of French fries, one pound of cheese curds, and a litre of gravy.

The new Leo’s is just one of several new spots opening up in the Seton area, with Calgary favourites such as Red’s Diner and Globefish Sushi & Izakaya recently branching out to the neighbourhood.
