Beloved Calgary food stall is making a comeback with a new pop-up

A much-loved Calgary spot is making its big return to the city.
After the shocking closure of its stall at Fresh & Local Market & Kitchens in August, The J Spot is officially making a comeback in the form of a pop-up.
In an Instagram post, Chef Joel Harris, owner of Aloha Modern Kitchen and The J Spot, revealed that for every Sunday from now until the new year, Aloha would be cooking up an extra special menu of J Spot favourites.
“We’ve missed serving up the classics just as much as you’ve missed eating them so this is truly a full-circle moment for us,” The J Spot said in the post.

As part of the pop-up menu, diners will be able to enjoy everything from J Spot’s drool-worthy burgers, tacos, quesadillas and its famous Eggs Benny.
The pop-up comes after The J Spot was forced to close in Avenida Village after six years. Despite making efforts to remain open, the stall closed its doors on Aug. 31.
While The J Spot may be taking another form for now, it’s exciting to see it back in the city. So if you’ve been missing out on your J Spot favourites, now is the time to visit.
