Guy Fieri is hosting an epic BBQ cook-off in Calgary — here’s what you need to know
Fire up those grills! The first huge food event of the Calgary Stampede has been announced, and it’s going to see one of the most iconic names in the food world returning to the city.
The Mayor of Flavortown himself, none other than Guy Fieri, will host the sixth annual Cowboys BBQ Cook-Off on July 10, 2025.
The legendary American restaurateur and TV personality first hosted the iconic Cowboys event in 2019 and is returning by popular demand.

The meat-fuelled event will see BBQ grillmasters and pros battle it out to serve their best pork and beef rib recipes. They’ll also be judged on their unique flavours and team spirit.
The Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives host is no stranger to dining around in Cowtown, as he also spent time in YYC and filmed with several of the city’s top chefs for the show.
Tickets for the iconic event are available now, and registration is also open for budding BBQ teams.
