Guy Fieri has arrived in Calgary and he was already spotted at the Stampede
We’re just over halfway through the Calgary Stampede, and there have already been so many celebrities out and about, from Netflix stars to world-renowned DJs.
But the latest might just be the most exciting for Calgary foodies, with none other than Guy Fieri spotted at the Calgary Stampede.
The mayor of Flavourtown has officially landed in YYC, ahead of hosting the Cowboys BBQ Cook-Off on Thursday, July 10.
However, before his hosting duties, the American TV personality and restaurateur made time to attend some of the Calgary Stampede’s most iconic events, including the chuckwagon and relay races on July 8, where he was shown to the crowds on screen.

“That guy looks just like Guy Fieri. Uncanny! My goodness,” the commentator said.
Fieri is set to be in town for a few more days, as he will be hosting the sixth annual Cowboys BBQ Cook-Off. He is returning by popular demand, having first hosted the event in 2019.
As part of the event, BBQ grillmasters and pros will compete to impress Fieri with their best pork and beef rib recipes. They’ll also be judged on their unique flavours and team spirit.
Fieri is no stranger to Calgary, as he has filmed at plenty of popular spots for his show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.Â
It appears that Fieri is doing the rounds in YYC once again, with several local spots sharing their encounters with the TV personality.
Popular matcha pop-up The Matcha Way shared an Instagram story of Fieri in a car, holding a cup of their matcha.

Meanwhile, popular pop-up wine bar City Boys Outpost shared a photo of their menu, which had been signed by Fieri.
