A chuckwagon driver had to be taken off the track in an ambulance on Tuesday night.

Obrey Motowylo, a 46-year-old veteran driver from Bluffton, Alberta, fell off of his chuckwagon during the starting portion of the race.

The incident occurred in the eighth heat of Tuesday’s chuckwagon races, and though no injuries of other drivers or horses were reported, a release from the Calgary Stampede states that they are waiting for further information on Motowylo’s wellbeing.

This is Motowylo’s 15th year racing at the Calgary Stampede and had come in second for total payout at last year’s races.
