Calgary just got a massive snow dump, and a lot of Calgarians weren’t prepared for it.
For a lot of Calgarians, it feels like the snow came out of the blue, especially since it came less than a week after the city saw temperatures hit the low 20s.

The roads were a mess for most of yesterday and this morning, with many people complaining about missed buses and crazy commute times.

Those slippery roads had an impact on the roads overnight, with 28 crashes happening between midnight and 8 am. Twenty-three of those crashes were non-injury collisions, three resulted in injuries, and two were non-injury hit-and-runs.
Calgarians can expect the snow to continue for the rest of Tuesday, with a snowfall in effect for the city.
There is good news, though; according to Environment and Climate Change Canada, this snow dump in Calgary should be the end of the white stuff for a while.
Warm temperatures are in the forecast over the weekend and into next week, just in time for Halloween!
