New specialty cafe and coffee roastery to open in downtown Calgary this summer
A new specialty coffee roaster is opening in Calgary this summer, and we’re positively buzzing for it.
Paradigm Spark, a Calgary-based specialty coffee roaster, will open a standalone location in downtown Calgary at 11th Avenue and 4th Street SE.
“We’ve been looking for a space that allows us to bring our full vision to life, and we’re confident this is the right one,” Paradigm Spark said in an Instagram post.
Paradigm Spark’s new home will include a cafe, where guests will be able to sample its roasted coffees as pour-over or espresso, to showcase the unique flavours.

As part of its aims, passion for knowledge and sharing this with coffee drinkers, the space will also include a training room, roasting room and a shared office for collaborations with fellow coffee professionals.
Its offerings were previously available at Butter Block’s cafe on 17th Avenue, but its coffee service at the location ended in December 2024.
