Calgary Police Service seeking suspect following theft of jewellery and gems

May 11 2018, 1:45 am

A break and enter in a northwest Calgary neighbourhood resulted in the theft of valuable jewellery and gemstones, according to a release from the Calgary Police Service.

The break-in took place sometime between 8:30 am and 7:40 pm on Tuesday, April 17, with the culprits also taking cash and collectables that they found within the Silver Springs home.

Police believe that a black or dark-coloured SUV — possibly a Toyota RAV4 — was seen in the area with a male driver and may have been a part of the criminal activity.

Police are asking anyone with information on the break and enter to contact them at their non-emergency number of 403-266-1234, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477, or online through their website.

Photos of the stolen valuables have been supplied by CPS and can be found below.
