Massive 499-foot-tall residential tower in the works for downtown Calgary
Calgary is set for a major skyline addition with a three-tower residential project in the works downtown, including a 499-foot-tall building.
The three-tower development, called Broadway on 17th, comes from Vesta Properties and will sit along 17th Avenue SW, placing it just steps away from one of Calgary’s most lively streets.
It is planned as a dense mixed-use community anchored by a 499-foot, 46-storey tower, which will stand as the tallest residential building in Calgary.
According to its website, the massive tower will feature one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, along with sub-penthouse and penthouse suites.

Amenities will include a spa, sauna, co-working spaces, a games lounge, an arcade, a sports simulator, a social lounge, a fitness studio, pet-friendly areas, and collaborative workspaces.
It will also include a lounge called the Level 46 Fireside Sky Lounge, which will feature a bar, indoor fireplace, and private dining areas, all set above the city skyline, offering panoramic views of Calgary.
At ground level, the development will feature a public plaza at the corner of 4th Street SW and 17th Avenue SW, landscaped courtyards, and pedestrian-friendly features such as walkable laneways and connections to the Beltline.

The Broadway Plaza will be home to everyday essentials such as restaurants, coffee shops, daycare, offices, and other local retailers. Occupancy for the towers is expected in 2030.

This is just one of many new developments coming to Calgary. A new two-tower project is currently in the works near CF Chinook Centre, and a development is being eyed that could bring over 1,000 new homes to the city.
