What a difference one week can make.
The city of Calgary was just starting to show its true spring colours after a devastatingly long and cold winter… and then the smokey haze from up north started to drift on into YYC.

Blue skies turned grey, clear air became smokey, and the stunning sights that usually accompany warm days in Calgary have all but disappeared into a mist straight out of Stephen King’s twisted imagination.
We’ve got our fingers crossed that the 60% chance of precipitation later today might just be the key to clearing our Calgary skies, but until then we’ll just have to enjoy the following photos from before this smoke stole our horizons:
