It may be hard to tell, but there are actually some rain clouds in the sky above Calgary.
The city has been choked by a smokey haze caused by the wildfires up north, but a recent weather forecast from Environment Canada could be just what YYC needs to clear the smoke out.

According to the forecast, Calgary is seeing a 60% chance of rain on Friday night ā which may just be enough to wash the haze away.
Winds of up to 20 km/h could also hit the city, though seeing as they’re actually gusting south, it may just mean additional smoke blown into town.
A chance of thunderstorms is also in the cards alongside the potential rainfall.
Saturday is calling for hazy skies in the morning, according to the Environment Canada forecast, though Saturday night and Sunday are expected to be sunny and clear with highs of 28Ā°C.
We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the forecast stays that way the further we get into the weekend, but, knowing just how fickle Calgary weather can be, we won’t get our hopes up (too high).
