Things are about to get much, much sweeter in Calgary. Quebec-based Cacao 70 is bringing their chocolate paradise to YYC soon, with a location set to open in the Springbank area.

You can expect to find all kinds of chocolate bliss at this popular and expanding treat-centric eatery.

They’ve got chocolate in all forms, from warm and whipped-cream topped hot chocolate to dessert pizzas, grilled marshmallows, build-your-own dessert parfaits, cheesecake crepes, waffles, shortcake, chocolate cakes, ice cream cups, fondues, milkshakes and much more.

Cacao 70 has recently revealed a rebranding and three distinct shop concepts. Calgarians will be happy to know we are getting a Cacao 70 “eatery” concept, which means brunch, lunch, and sweet treats; they’re calling it their take on diner classics with chocolate as the “star ingredient.”

We say: Um, hello S’mores Pizza! (And hi to things like Earl Grey Chocolate Fondue, Black Sesame Hot Cocoa, Illegal Chocolate Waffles, and a Quadruple Chocolate Parfait. PS, they make savoury dishes, too, like an Apple and Bacon Waffle, veggie-stuffed crepes, panini and wraps, and egg dishes like omelettes, scrambles, and frittatas.

No ETA yet on the opening has been made available, but we’ll keep you posted. Cacao 70 is set to go into unit #136 at the retail and business plaza at 30 Springborough Boulevard SW.
