Cacao 70: Quebec-based chocolate cafe opens in Vancouver

Get ready for a serious sugar rush – Quebec-based chocolate cafe Cacao 70 has opened its doors in Vancouver.

Expect all-chocolate-everything at this West End located at 1047 Denman Street.

The extensive selection of over-the-top dishes includes dessert pizzas, grilled marshmallows, build-your-own dessert parfaits, cheesecake crepes, waffles, shortcake, chocolate cakes, ice cream cups, fondues, and a list of specialty beverages like hot chocolates and milkshakes – and that’s just naming a few.

If you’re not in the mood to eat a week’s worth of calories in one sitting, opt for a more modest treat of simple, raw chocolate. Cacao 70 has an incredible selection of the good stuff from all over the world in a variety of percentages.

We can’t forget to mention Cacao 70’s brunch selections. This lengthy menu includes pressed crepes and crepe sandwiches in a variety of flavours (sweet and savoury), grilled sandwiches, salads, omelettes, waffles, oatmeal, granola, tea, coffee, and even a cappuccino with ice cream.

This is the franchise’s first West Coast location, but on the east side of Canada Cacao 70 has made its mark.

With four stores in Montreal, two more in Sherbrooke and Quebec City, and five locations scattered across Ontario, it’s clear this sweet spot knows how to attract a loyal customer base.

With late-night hours (open until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and midnight on weekends), Cacao 70 is sure to become a hotspot for late-night cravings and a total dessert destination in general.

Cacao is open Sunday to Thursday from 10 am to 11 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to midnight.
