An Alberta town known for its love for pumpkins has one wild tradition: dropping large gourds onto a vehicle below every fall.

The Smoky Lake Great White North Pumpkin Weigh-off and Fair is known for its massive pumpkins every year, and a pumpkin drop is the grand finale on the Saturday of the 35th annual event.

The event will take place in a field near the Smoky Lake Car Wash, and is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, at 5:30 p.m.
“Pumpkins will fly, and metal will crunch. It’s a fall tradition you won’t want to miss. Bring your friends and family for an evening of gravity-defying, car-crushing fun,” organizers added.
