VPD release video of man punched unconscious outside Yaletown bar (VIDEO)

Vancouver police have released video of a violent assault outside a Yaletown lounge in the hopes of finding those responsible.

The video was taken outside Pierre’s Champagne Lounge around 2 am on March 31, 2018, and shows a man knocked unconscious from being punched in the face.

One victim, a 28-year-old from Burnaby, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. A second victim had minor injuries.

Almost a year later, the Burnaby resident is still dealing “with the effects of his life-changing injuries,” according to Sgt. Jason Robillard.

“This is a serious, disturbing assault,” he said.

While detectives have been working behind-the-scenes to identify the suspects, it is asking for the public’s help.

“We want to talk to all of the people involved and get their version of what took place that night,” said Sgt. Robillard.
