The victim of a shooting that took place near a Surrey park has been arrested by RCMP.
According to Surrey RCMP, police were called to the area of 142A Street and 108 Avenue near Hawthorne Park on Sunday, March 17, after receiving reports of a shooting.
Police quickly located a man walking in the area, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated and released. He was then taken into police custody in relation to outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Police believe the shooting occurred during an altercation between two groups of people who were inside the park. This is believed to be a targetted incident.
Police are looking for two suspects but have limited information at this time. Both suspects are males wearing dark hooded clothing.
