Weekend forecast: The sun will make a Family Day appearance in Vancouver

Feb 10 2018, 2:53 am

Yes, it has been a pretty rainy week when it comes to the weather here in Vancouver.

But as we head into the Family Day long weekend, it appears there’s some light at the end of the tunnel, as in literal sunshine in the forecast.

According to Environment Canada while the rain won’t completely take a break from soaking the city this weekend, the sun is also set to make a special appearance as well – both on Saturday, and on the holiday Monday.

Temperatures throughout the weekend – though slightly cooler – will still be pretty manageable as well.

Daytime temperatures will hover around the mid single-digits, while temperatures at night will dip just below the freezing mark.

All told, it looks like this Family Day weekend will present more than a few chances to get outside and enjoy the extra day off with your loved ones.

Or stay inside and enjoy the mix of weather from the comfort of your couch in front of the TV.

Hey, it’s your family after all.
