Vancouver Police are seeking witnesses to what they describe as a “violent assault” in the West End last Saturday, which left a 46-year-old Vancouver man in hospital with serious injuries.
In a release, police said on November 30, just before 1 am, officers responded to a 911 call about an injured man on Thurlow Street, north of Davie Street.
“Investigators have been unable to interview the victim due to his injuries,” said VPD Sgt. Aaron Roed. “It’s very important for any witnesses or anyone who may have information about this assault to speak with our officers.”
Police describe the victim as white, 6’4” tall, with a thin build.
He was wearing a light grey, patterned dress shirt, black pants, and black shoes at the time of the incident and was walking north on Thurlow from Davie Street on the west sidewalk when he was assaulted.
Following the assault, the suspect “walked away north on Thurlow Street with two other unknown people,” police said.
