Two people were arrested and approximately $140,000 worth of allegedly stolen goods seized from a home in Ladner, recently.

In a release, Delta police said they recovered the stolen items after executing a search warrant at a residence in the 4600 block of 51st street, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team.

“Investigators have recovered a large number of items that are believed to have been stolen,” said Delta Police Insp. Guy Leeson.

Now, police “are in the process of identifying property and have started returning it to owners.”

He added that the outcome of this investigation is “definitely satisfying for our Property Crime Unit officers, who did some great work.”

Two adults were taken into custody in connection with the investigation and later released on a promise to appear in February 2020.

The suspected stolen property includes numerous tools and machinery. One item recovered is believed to have been recently reported stolen from a Ladner farm.

Police said there were no risks to public safety during the incident, and no one was injured.

The investigation remains ongoing and Delta Police said they anticipate forwarding a number of charges to Crown for consideration.
