Canada's FIFA World Cup team enjoyed a post-match meal from a Vancouver restaurant

Vancouver being a host city for the FIFA World Cup has definitely helped some restaurants see increased traffic, but it’s not just the tourists who are going out to eat.
Local restaurant VanSuya shared on Instagram that the Canadian men’s national soccer team enjoyed a post-match meal from the restaurant.
“We’ve been loving the vibes and energy in Vancouver Downtown this summer because of the World Cup ✨ So when they wanted to order food from us, we were happy to deliver it to them,” shared the restaurant on Instagram.
As for what the team ordered, VanSuya said they enjoyed soups, plantain, pastries, and the best-selling jollof rice. The restaurant also added that everyone on the team was nice and friendly.

VanSuya is best known for its authentic Nigerian cuisine, like its Smokey Jollof Rice, which is rice simmered in a flavourful and spicy tomato stew and accompanied by your choice of chicken, turkey, fish, or beef.
Currently, VanSuya operates a location in Surrey (10767 King George Blvd., Surrey) as well as its Vancouver outpost (185 Keefer St., Vancouver).
