Vancouver’s newest professional soccer team has revealed their jerseys for their upcoming debut season, with their first game just around the corner.

Vancouver Rise FC is one of six teams in the new Northern Super League (NSL). All six teams just unveiled their primary uniform, which will be used throughout this year.

The Rise’s uniform, named the Sunshine Kit, is mostly green with some yellow parts near the neckline.

The team describes the pattern as “sunburst,” which symbolizes “hope, growth, and the limitless potential of the team” and mirrors “the club’s vision of being a beacon of progress, lighting the way for future generations.”

The jersey also has the team’s badge, which shows off the iconic local mountains and a rising sun, featured prominently. The jerseys are manufactured by sportswear company Hummel, which also has its logo displayed.

Vancouver is led by midfielder Quinn, who helped Canada win a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and a bronze at Rio 2016. Quinn played at Duke University and has since collected more than 200 appearances at the national and professional level.

There are six NSL teams based in Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, and the league has already secured major sponsors such as Coca-Cola Canada and Toyota Canada.

The inaugural match for the NSL will be played at BC Place on April 16, as Vancouver will host Calgary. After that, the Rise FC will move to Swanguard Stadium in Burnaby, which will be their home field for the remainder of the year.

The season runs through the summer, with the final regular season game scheduled for October 18.

Legendary Canadian athlete Christine Sinclair is a part owner of the Vancouver franchise. Her former Canadian national team teammate, Diana Matheson, is a co-founder of the entire league.
