What: Bugs Bunny At The Symphony  II celebrates the world’s favourite classic Looney Tunes, projected on the big screen, while the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performs their original Carl Stalling scores live. Conducted by George Daugherty and created by Daugherty and David Ka Lik Wong, Bugs Bunny at the Symphony II spotlights such iconic classics as What’s Opera, Doc?, The Rabbit of Seville, and more, plus two brand-new, critically-acclaimed 3D cartoons from Warner Bros. – Rabid Rider and Coyote Falls. Capping it all off are special guest appearances by Tom & Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl.

BC Superweek 2019 – PoCo Grand Prix

What: The PoCo Grand Prix is located in the heart of Port Coquitlam. The criterium-style race features a mass start and a 1.3-kilometre circuit that cyclists will navigate for 40-65 laps.

Knockout Punchlines: Improv and Stand-Up Showdown

What: The Fictionals are taking over Yuk Yuks Vancouver for Knockout Punchlines, an epic showcase of Vancouver Comedy. The Improv and Stand-Up Showdown features four stand-up comics performing sets to inspire 12 improvisers to create scenes on the spot. The winning team — as voted on by the audience — will win the Knockout Punchlines Title Belt and the chance to come back to defend their title.

Coquitlam Summer Concert Series

What: Voted “Outdoor Concert of the Year” by Tri-Cities residents, Coquitlam’s Summer Concert Series is back again for 2019. Drop by the TD Community Plaza in Town Centre Park to enjoy free concerts under the evening sky this summer. Choose to either sit on the grassed seating levels or bring your own chair or blanket while enjoying a homemade picnic or meal purchased from an on-site food truck.

What: From July 12 to 14, The Designer Warehouse Co is hosting Vancouver’s largest designer warehouse sale at JW Marriott Parq. Vancouver Bike Rave

What: The party starter group VYVE (formerly known as Party4Health) present the third annual summer bike rave. The route will feature portions of Vancouver’s gorgeous Seawall, a bridge, a mysterious tunnel, and then a large mound to dance on top of, according to VYVE “party scientist” Jacques Martiquet. What makes this bike rave especially unique is that it’s entirely drug and booze-free. The VYVE party scientists will also be releasing a dance mix for everyone to download and synchronize with. Plus you can hit the Vancouver Bike Rave with limited-edition bikes from Mobi by Shaw Go.

Playland Nights 2019

What: Every Friday in July, Playland is hosts evenings dedicated to adults-only (19+) amusement, complete with food, drinks, games, and of course, the rides. The grounds will be fully licensed, so guests can enjoy their favourite beverage, including “Playland-inspired” cocktails throughout the park while experiencing the entertainment. The events feature multiple bars, several DJs, live performances, and VIP experiences.

Punk In Drublic Craft Beer and Music Festival

NOFX/Punk In Drublic Craft Beer

What: Created from the mind of NOFX’s frontman, Fat Mike, and named for NOFX’s classic Punk In Drublic album, the festival will be showcasing the best in punk rock music and regional craft beer. Taking place at the PNE Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 13 the event is slated to feature performances from rockers NOFX, Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, The Real McKenzies, Chixdiggit, and The Last Gang.

INFUSION- YA Book Festival

What: A festival created by book lovers for book lovers. Readers and writers of Young Adult literature will converge at Library Square for a day full of magic, adventure, and all the tea. The event will have four main components including author signings, panel discussions, book readings and evening activities (author quiz, prompt contest, etc.).

Steveston Heritage Experience

What: ​The Steveston Heritage Experience leads you back in time on an interactive walking tour, stopping at four celebrated historic attractions—Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site, the Steveston Tram, the Steveston Museum, and the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. Along the way, you’ll hear eye-opening tales of yesteryear village life, as told by a chatty local who seems to have just stepped from the streets of 1914. Carefully chosen food and beverage tastings will also be served, offering a taste of life back in 1914—culminating with a popular dish of that day (and today), delicious seafood chowder from local favourite Pajo’s, along with a craft brew from Steveston’s Britannia Brewing.

Red Bull 400 2019

What: With 140 meters of elevation and a 37° incline, the Red Bull 400 is a tough challenge for adrenaline junkies of all levels. Those brave enough to attempt this will race up the ski jump at Whistler Olympic Park — an equivalent of 40 flights of stairs. If you want to share the experience, grab three friends and sign up for the 4 x 100 m relay. Part of the fun is figuring out who gets the steepest part.

BC Superweek 2019 – Tour de White Rock

What: The Tour de White Rock presented by Landmark Premiere Properties is one of the longest standing races in North America. It consists of the Choices Markets Criterium in the heart of White Rock and the historic Westminster Savings Road Race, ending the weekend Tour with one of the most challenging road races in the Pacific North West.
