What: The Business Improvement Associations (BIAs) of Vancouver have come together to help you show love to your city and to the many fantastic small businesses that make this place so amazing.

What: First Impressions Theatre presents a Broadway musical tribute to life by the roadside. This rollicking good time at Deep Cove Shaw Theatre features actors also playing live music onstage in this throwback show.

What: If you’re craving a taste of spring before the season officially starts, the Japan Market in Vancouver is the perfect place to get your fill.

As one of the largest markets for Japanese-inspired products and food in the city, you’re guaranteed dozens of tasty food stalls and arts vendors to peruse.

Translinear Light: The Music of Alice Coltrane

What: The Chan Centre presents a concert showcasing the work of trailblazing jazz musician Alice Coltrane, led by her son, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Ravi Coltrane.

The ensemble for Translinear Light also includes Grammy-nominated harpist Brandee Younger, pianist Courtney Brian, organist David Virelles, bassist Bob Hurst, and percussionist Jeff Tain Watts.

Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival 2025

What: Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival is here to inspire you with its epic series of events celebrating climbing, snowsports, mountain biking, and more.

There are 60 films at 20 in-person shows in VIMFF’s 2025 lineup, exploring important themes like the environment, Indigenous voices, resistance, and more.

VIMFF is also welcoming some of the world’s leading explorers, athletes, and creatives. Hear their unique experiences, take part in a variety of workshops, and more throughout the festival.

Vancouver Cocktail Week

What: Calling all cocktail connoisseurs! A city-wide celebration of bars, bartenders, and their delicious drinks is returning to Vancouver this winter.

The fourth annual Vancouver Cocktail Week (VCW) runs from March 2 to 9. That means you’ll only have seven days to discover some of the city’s top establishments and their unique cocktail creations.

Signature events returning for VCW 2025 include the traditional welcome brunch at ARC Restaurant in the Fairmont Waterfront on March 2 and the Black & White closing gala at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia on March 8.

Kitsilano Winter Farmers’ Market

What: Kitsilano Farmers’ Market takes place on Sundays in the parking lot of the Community Centre and offers a good selection of fresh local produce and gourmet treats to stock up on the week. There are also a number of artisan vendors and food trucks to check out at the market.

Bite of Burnaby

What: Bite of Burnaby is a month-long event that aims to support the city’s diverse dining establishments by offering special, affordably-priced menus at participating restaurants.

From March 1 to 31, the more than 65 restaurants included in the festival will offer special menus, combos, and deals at set prices ranging from $10 to $60. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy your favourites or dig into something new.
