What: Get your cameras ready because the colourful Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (VCBF) is returning this spring and it will be blooming bigger than ever.

The festival is one of the city’s most beloved yearly events, with a huge lineup of events to discover from March 26 to April 28. The popular Blossoms After Dark takeover of David Lam Park also returns bigger than ever from March 28 to 30.  Guests will enjoy added light art installations, a licensed lounge with a stage where you can try specially crafted cherry blossom cocktails, and roaming performers.

Femme, Femme, Femme: International Women’s Day Edition

What: The Improv Centre celebrates International Women’s Day with a showcase of fabulous funny femmes. Laugh along with your favourite performers and special guests, and bring your best suggestions to inspire the comedians throughout the evening.

Vancouver Story Slam

What: Vancouver Story Slam features 10 storytellers sharing original short stories in a competition for cash and prizes as well as a spot in the championship show. Performers at Hero’s Welcome on March 13 include Erin Reddekopp, Josh Silberg, Saoirse Pritchard, and more. The event will also include special guest storyteller Abby Crispo

The 54th Annual Juno Awards

What: The 54th Annual Juno Awards will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Rogers Arena, presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

Canada’s largest celebration of music includes festivities across the city, a Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction, and Michael Bublé hosting and performing during the star-studded event.

The Juno Awards will also induct Canadian pop punk rock legends Sum 41 into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during a special presentation. The live broadcast performance is also set to be the group’s last.

Pump Boys and Dinettes

What: First Impressions Theatre presents a Broadway musical tribute to life by the roadside. This rollicking good time at Deep Cove Shaw Theatre features actors also playing live music onstage in this throwback show.

What: The 18th Annual Coastal Dance Festival brings Indigenous artists from across the country and around the world together to celebrate and showcase Indigenous dance. Highlights include artist-sharing events, festival stage performances, and more.

Media Res Gallery – Henna Night II / Shabe Kheena II by Hangama Amiri

What: Vancouver’s Iranian Visual Arts (VIVA) Alliance is hosting its inaugural exhibition at Media Res Gallery: Henna Night II / Shabe Kheena II by Afghan-Canadian artist Hangama Amiri. The acclaimed artist is known for her textile wall hangings portraying how women’s lives are influenced by ideas of gender and social norms in Afghanistan and beyond.

Henna Night II / Shabe Kheena II features artworks from an ongoing series with scenes from traditional Afghan pre-wedding rituals that speak to themes of nostalgia and loss.

What: Broadway Across Canada presents Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, filled with all the iconic songs from the Queen of Rock and Roll. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall, Tina tells the story of how the singer overcame the odds to become one of the world’s favourite artists of all time.
