Lapu Lapu Day Block Party

What: The second annual Lapu Lapu Day Block Party, presented by Filipino BC and Sunset on Fraser, is coming to the historic South Vancouver neighbourhood on Saturday, April 26.
This year’s event is free and open to all, with a street parade, artisan vendors, cultural activities, a giant basketball tournament, and lots of great food. There will also be a MYX Mainstage concert by donation, headlined by members of the six-time Grammy-winning Black Eyed Peas.

Richmond Night Market 2025
When: The Richmond Night Market is gearing up to officially open for its 2025 season on Friday, April 25. This highly anticipated event is the largest night market in North America.
This year is extra special because it marks the 25th anniversary of the market, and there will be some special offers for visitors to celebrate. One of these special offers is the return of its popular Summer Happy Hour with special food and drink deals that are all under $10.

Art Incognito – Celebrating 20 Years of The Beaumont
What: The Beaumont is kicking off its 20th Anniversary party with a huge Art Incognito party that includes a live DJ, drinks, and a chance to score some amazing artworks from mystery creators. There will also be musical performances, a raffle, and interactive games and experiences throughout the evening.
Vancouver Sun Run 2025

What: The 41st anniversary of the Vancouver Sun Run, presented by HerbaLand Naturals, hits the streets on Sunday, April 27.
This year’s categories include the 10 km individual Sun Run, 10 km walking division, 2.5 km Eva Air Mini Sun Run, 10 km team division, 2.5 km and 10 km Sun-Rype Youth Team Challenge, and a 2.5 km and 10 km virtual Sun Run.
And while plenty of runners will compete for the fastest times and top spots, the popular annual event welcomes all skill levels to celebrate community and the joy of fitness.

International Dance Day at The Dance Centre
What: The Dance Centre celebrates International Dance Day with several events this month. From now until April 30, check out the between the landings | Vanessa Goodman/Action at a Distance installation at the Scotiabank Dance Centre as part of the Capture Photography Festival.
On April 27, head back to the Dance Centre for a workshop performance of Cultural and Migration Stories with Kay Huang and a film screening of Gluk by Karen Jamieson Dance.
On April 29, International Dance Day, the Scotiabank Dance Centre will host live performances, a studio showing, and more. They will also host free outdoor performances Events at Vancouver Art Gallery south plaza over the noon hour.

Nelly
What: Lace up your Nike Air Force 1s and pull out your Grillz, because Nelly is coming to Vancouver on his latest tour and bringing some big stars along for the ride.
The Where the Party at Tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Nelly’s debut studio album, Country Grammar, will take over Rogers Arena on Thursday, April 24. Joining the three-time Grammy winner on all-Canadian dates are fellow hitmakers Ja Rule, Chingy, and Jermaine Dupri.

9 to 5 the Musical
What: Royal City Musical Theatre invites you to clock in for 9 to 5 the Musical, based on the hit 1980s movie and featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. Cheer on Violet, Judy, and Doralee as they come up with a plan to get even with the “sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot” they call their boss.

What: Music superstar Kylie Minogue is coming to Vancouver next spring on her biggest world tour in over a decade. The two-time Grammy winner is bringing the Tension Tour to Pacific Coliseum on Saturday, April 26.
The Princess of Pop has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and is the highest-selling female recording artist from Australia. Minogue was selected as one of Time’s most influential people in 2024 and is also beloved for hits like “The Loco-motion,” “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” and “Love at First Sight.”
