Canada's largest 10k road race returns to Vancouver next week

Tens of thousands of runners are getting ready to lace up for Canada’s largest 10k road race, returning to Vancouver this month.
The 41st anniversary of the Vancouver Sun Run, presented by HerbaLand Naturals, hits the streets on Sunday, April 27.
And while plenty of runners will compete for the fastest times and top spots, the popular annual event welcomes all skill levels to celebrate community and the joy of fitness.

Last year’s Vancouver Sun Run drew over 45,000 participants under bright blue skies. Registration for the 2025 event is still open, and costumes are highly encouraged.
The route begins at Burrard and Georgia Street. From there, runners make their way towards Stanley Park before turning towards English Bay, onto Pacific Avenue, across the Burrard Street bridge exiting onto 2nd Avenue.
The route then runs along Fir Street to join 4th Avenue and continues east on 6th Avenue before making its way towards the finish line in False Creek.
Several road closures will be in effect for the race throughout the city.
