Popular Vancouver park concession just got a beefy upgrade in tasty collab

If the food options at Vancouver park concession stands have you wishing for more, you might want to turn your attention to Trout Lake.
Batch and DownLow Burgers, two popular brands in Vancouver, are now available at the Trout Lake concession.
If you somehow haven’t heard of Batch, it’s a popular outdoor pub with several locations that offer great views of the water, including in Kits and False Creek at the Plaza of Nations.
Meanwhile, DownLow is a super popular chicken spot, and it looks like DownLow Burgers will be serving up tasty burgers, fries, and onion rings, as well as Wagyu hot dogs.
DownLow is really pushing a new burger that they’ve compared to the Baconator, featuring double 4 oz patties.

“We’re going to have three different burgers; we’re going to keep it simple,” said DownLow’s Doug Stephen in an Instagram post.
Stephen described one of the burgers, painting a mouthwatering picture, saying, “All Canadian cheddar, special sauce, pickles, onions, two ways, caramelized and raw.”
For folks sick of the smash patty craze, Stephen said a smashed burger will NOT be on the menu.
The Batch and DownLow collab is now open and will be running through the Labour Day long weekend, weather permitting.
Based on pictures and video shared in a social media collaboration between the Vancouver Park Board, Batch, and DownLow Burgers, it looks like there’s a nice little seating area that has been created for patrons as well.
Best of all, Trout Lake is just a short walk from Commercial Drive SkyTrain Station. Just don’t swim in the water.
DownLow is also one of the additions at the almost brand-new Time Out Market in Vancouver.
