Vancouver's Sweetery Cafe is closing after 8 years of business

After eight years of business, Vancouver’s Sweetery Cafe has announced it is closing.

The 340 W 2nd Avenue cafe was known for its breakfast, brunch, and sweet treats and pastries.

In an email to Daily Hive, the cafe’s owners say they will be continuing their business by offering delivery only through DoorDash and more, but will be shuttering their brick and mortar location.

Sweetery Cafe is just the latest in a string of recent restaurant closures in Vancouver.

That list includes Gastown’s The Sardine Can, South Granville’s Vij’s Rangoli, and Commercial Drive’s Storm Crow Tavern to name a few.
