13 Vancouver restaurants among Canada’s 100 Best in 2019

Vancouver, represent!

Our city is home to an impressive 13 restaurants on the just-revealed list of Canada’s 100 Best.

Toronto’s Alo Restaurant has taken the top spot on the list for the third year in a row. Montreal’s Joe Beef and Toqué! follow, making the top three restaurants consistent for the last three years.

St. Lawrence is the highest-ranking Vancouver eatery on the 2019 list, making it the only Vancouver restaurant to crack the top 10 on the list of 100 restaurants selected by a 92-member panel of esteemed gourmets including restaurateurs, chefs, food writers, and discriminating diners from across Canada.

Hawksworth has held its 11th spot on the list, the same as 2018, while Kissa Tanto has shuffled down slightly from 10th in 2018 to 16th this year.

Local establishments that made the cut 2018 as well include L’Abattoir, Cioppino’s, Nightingale, Botanist, Savio Volpe, and Masayoshi, while Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar, La Quercia, Ancora, and Bauhaus were not on the previous year’s ranking, and appear on the best 100 eateries in 2019.
