12 companies hiring for hundreds of jobs in Vancouver this February

If you’re not in love with your career, February is a great month to seek a new opportunity that makes you happy.

There are so many kinds of jobs available around Vancouver, so whether you have a background in serving or an engineering degree, you’re bound to find something for your specific skill set.

Here are 12 companies with some awesome gigs up for grabs right now.

Air Canada

Air Canada currently has lots of job openings across the country and right here in Vancouver. For example, a flight attendant position may be perfect for those wanting to travel the world for work. According to the job posting, the starting salary is $30.02 an hour.

Those looking to stay closer to home can apply for the ground support equipment technician position, which comes with travel privileges and health and dental coverage. The starting salary is $38.35 an hour.

Science World

Science World welcomes 850,000 visitors yearly to the charitable non-profit and science centre in Vancouver’s False Creek area.

You can help nurture the guests’ process of discovery and inspire their connection with the environment by applying for one of Science World’s open roles. They include experiential learning specialists; a permanent, full-time role that pays $28.44 an hour; or senior manager of major gifts, which pays a salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Vancouver Police Department

A new year could lead to new career opportunities as the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is hiring for several civilian roles, many of which pay really well.

The VPD has over 400 civilian staff who work alongside more than 1,300 of its offers. The police force notes that civilian staff work in roles ranging from data entry and crime to victim support and managing teams.

Currently, the VPD is hiring for various temporary roles and a few permanent ones.

Rocky Mountaineer

Rocky Mountaineer has several jobs up for grabs, including a Whistler lead guest experience specialist position from March to October. It pays $25.05 an hour and includes benefits like a health care spending account, friends and family discounts, and two annual complimentary passes (beginning your second season).

Rocky Mountaineer is hiring someone for the guest experience concierge role, which is a little more hands-on and pays $25 an hour.

City of Richmond

Whether you’re someone looking for a job in customer service, community recreation or planning and development, there might be a position perfect for you in the City of Richmond.

Positions include counter clerk for the RCMP detachment, swimming instructor, and journeyman welder for Fleet Operations. You can also submit your resume for general consideration by the City.

BCAA

BCAA is hiring for over 20 positions, with several based in Burnaby and around BC.

Roles include Road Assist Fleet Technician for those with a more mechanical aptitude, Associate Corporate Accountant for those skilled with numbers, and Marketing Manager of Strategic Ventures who will lead marketing efforts for the organization’s E-Bike and E-Scooter program, Evolve.

Vancouver Fire Rescue Services

If you’re looking for a job that’s sure to be just as rewarding as it is challenging, Vancouver Fire Rescue Services is looking to fill some jobs that pay well.

There are several vacancies, and applications won’t close until they’re filled.

According to the City of Vancouver website, as of 2022, the annual firefighter salary is $72,706 over the first six months, progressing to $103,871 at the start of your fourth year of employment.

Vancouver International Airport
