If you’re anything like us, the hunger for unique and delicious food and beverage-centred events is as strong as ever. It’s a good thing Vancouver always delivers them in excess.

Here are Vancouver food events, in or around the city, to check out this week.

Disco Dumplings at Burdock & Co

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

The Juice Truck X TMRW Foods Pop-up

Popular local juicery and cafe The Juice Truck will be teaming up with Vancouver’s TMRW Foods for a drool-worthy weekly event. The Juice Truck’s Main Street location will host a weekly pop-up on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm.

Big Day BBQ Tailgate Pop-up

Kicking off on September 8 at 10 am (meat slicing starts at 11 am), this party runs until December 29, the last day of the NFL 2019 regular season. As always with Big Day, expect the eats to be absolutely epic and paired with an ever-changing selection of local craft beer.

North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market

Back at it again, North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market is returning for Spring and Summer 2019. Gathering some of Vancouver’s best food vendors, this free event will feature a full farmers’ and artisan marketplace along with local food trucks and live entertainment weekly until 10 pm.

Richmond Night Market 2019

This market draws crowds from across the province, who travel to check out the rows on rows of vibrant cuisine along with the diverse line-up of nightly performances on the 50-foot entertainment stage.

School of Magic Afternoon Tea

Reservations for this magical experience can be made daily from noon to 4 pm, and it cost  $65 per person, or to add a glass of sparkling and an additional box of assorted themed macarons it’s $118 per person.

Hip Hop Trivia Night at Juke Fried Chicken

Teams of up to six are invited to take part in five rounds of questions on all things hip hop. There will be food and drink specials and prizes up for grabs too. 7-Eleven ‘Name Your Price Day’ is returning to stores across Canada on September 19, 2019. This means Canadians can head into their local location of the convenience store chain and get a large Slurpee for whatever amount they’d like to pay.

Wünderbar ‘Oktobeerfest’ Pop-Up at Bells & Whistles

Vancouver’s getting a Wünderbar Pop-Up for Oktoberfest food and drinks, and it’s going down at Bells & Whistles from September 21 until October 6. The Fraser Street gem will be transforming into a Bavarian-inspired beer hall for over two weeks of beer-fueled celebration.

Parallel 49 Brewing Oktoberfest Party

Parallel 49’s Oktoberfest party is going down on Saturday, September 21st from 2 to 10 pm. Expect a live polka band, traditional German snacks like pretzels, and seven different beers on tap.
