Hip Hop Trivia Night at Juke Fried Chicken

Juke Fried Chicken is hosting a Hip Hop Trivia Night on the third Tuesday of every month kicking off at 7 pm. Teams of up to six are invited to take part in five rounds of questions on all things hip hop. There will be food and drink specials and prizes up for grabs too. Sign up as an individual or a team of up to six via email ([email protected]), Instagram or Facebook to guarantee a spot, or simply walk-in night-of.

Disco Dumplings at Burdock & Co

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

The Juice Truck X TMRW Foods Pop-up

Popular local juicery and cafe The Juice Truck will be teaming up with Vancouver’s TMRW Foods for a drool-worthy weekly event. The Juice Truck’s Main Street location will host a weekly pop-up on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm.

North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market

Back at it again, North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market is returning for Spring and Summer 2019. Gathering some of Vancouver’s best food vendors, this free event will feature a full farmers’ and artisan marketplace along with local food trucks and live entertainment weekly until 10 pm.

Richmond Night Market 2019

This market draws crowds from across the province, who travel to check out the rows on rows of vibrant cuisine along with the diverse line-up of nightly performances on the 50-foot entertainment stage.

Sunday Seafood Boil Series at Boulevard

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar will officially be hosting its popular series of summer seafood boils for 2019. This epic feast is enjoyed outside at a communal table, and features fresh-caught lobster, jumbo prawns, clams, mussels, and Dungeness crab.

Port Moody Golden Spike Days Food Trucks

A number of food trucks and snack-food vendors will be on site on Canada Day during Port Moody’s Golden Spike Days celebration. Items for sale will include flavoured shaved ice, fresh lemonade, mini doughnuts, ice cream, and a variety of ethnic and North American festive-style foods.

Great Canadian BBQ at H2 Rotisserie & Bar

Enjoy the Great Canadian BBQ at H2 on July 1 prepared and served outdoors (weather permitting). The menu will offer 25 choices like sushi, build-your-own grilled corn, grilled Pacific salmon, and more. There will be an acoustic live performance throughout the afternoon as well.

Grouse Mountain Canada Day 2019

Celebrate Canada at the peak of Vancouver this year. After you conquer the Grouse Mountain Trail, stop by their Canada Day barbecue or grab a BeaverTail, some classic poutine, or an ice cold beer at their mountaintop plaza beer garden. The Canada Day BBQ and Mountaintop Beer Garden runs from 11:30 am to 5 pm.

Steveston Salmon Festival

Canada Day at the Cannery

At 12 noon, enjoy cake (while supplies last) and celebrate the 125th ‘Canniversary’ since the historic cannery was built in 1894. Look for face-painting, caricatures, and snack vendors, as well as performances throughout the day at the Salmon Festival’s Celebration Stage in front of the Cannery.

Surrey Canada Day Food Trucks

Surrey Canada Day is Western Canada’s biggest Canada Day celebration. It will be hosted at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre with a carnival midway, entertainment, and family activities. There will also be more than 20 food trucks, with options ranging from donairs to bacon sandwiches.

Port Moody Rotary Ribfest 2019

The fifth annual celebration of all things BBQ meat will be kicking off on July 19 and running until July 21 at Rocky Point Park. This three-day event runs from 11 am to 9:30 pm (9 pm on the 21) and will feature seven rib vendors, music, a corn hut, and more. There will also be a family-friendly beer garden with 6oo seats, along with an adults-only beer garden with room for 1,100 thirsty rib-lovers.

The Brick Bar – Vancouver

The Brick Bar, the first bar of its kind, is happening at The Anza Club. The bar will consist of over one million blocks, and will feature sculptures made completely from LEGO bricks.

Big Day BBQ

Big Day BBQ events pop up all over Vancouver, but you’ll definitely want to be at this one at Fraser Common Farm in Langley. This day will feature complimentary beverages from Windfall Cider, Powell Brewery, and Dickie’s Ginger Beer and music by Starlight & the Pony. Food up for grabs will include a whole hog, chicken, and brisket. You can also enjoy a farm tour or play a game of corn hole before you down dessert from the Pie Shoppe. All proceeds go towards completing their barn project, which houses the many groups that visit the farm to learn about local food systems.

Brewery & The Beast Vancouver 2019

Local and regional farms provide the highest quality meats which are made into pig roasts, sausages, smoked meats, classic BBQ, and more. Attendees get a personal wooden board complete with a cup holder for their beer along with a hand/face cloth to use in between chowing down on dozens of local purveyors, restaurants, and cafe’s creations.
