If you’re anything like us, the hunger for unique and delicious food and beverage-centred events is as strong as ever. It’s a good thing Vancouver always delivers them in excess.

Riley Park Farmers’ Market (Winter Edition)

Formerly known as the Nat Bailey Farmers’ Market, the market was renamed after being changed to a year-round event. Visitors will be able to find over 30 producers and a selection of food and coffee trucks. The market also has amenities such as bike racks, an ATM on-site, and at times, live music.

When: Saturdays from now to April 27 from 10 am to 2 pm

Disco Dumplings at Burdock & Co

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

Unsung Heroes Festival at Blue Water Cafe

Blue Water Cafe has been concocting weird and wonderful culinary creations from the sea for its annual Unsung Heroes Festival for over a decade, and this year’s selection is no different. Now in its 15th year, Executive Chef Frank Pabst has created an array of delights not commonly found on many menus for the festival, which runs throughout the month until February 28.

Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival

This annual celebration of all things hot chocolate is kicking off on January 19 and runs until February 14 – which means you have tons of days to try all of the participating ‘chocstars’ at this year’s fest.

Fortune Food Fair

Fortune Sound Club, a Chinatown staple, will be hosting ‘Fortune Food Fair’ on February 10 from 11 am to 4 pm, the Chinese New Year Parade will return to Vancouver for the 46th time on the same day.

Branaire Ducru Dinner at Origo Club

Origo Club is a five-course dinner for $100/ per person with Branaire Ducru on February 13 at 6:30 pm.

Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea at The Roof

Notch8 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will be offering lovebirds a Valentine’s Day-themed tea service hosted on The Roof, on the 15th floor of the building. The $65 tea includes drool-worthy morsels such as sweet butter scones and preserved cherry lemon scones served with passion fruit curd, clotted cream, and strawberry preserve along with Lot 35 tea blends.
