What: There are more than a dozen vendors this year at Westbank’s second annual Shipping Container Summer Pop-Up Series and the roster includes notable brands in food, health, and fashion. The container will showcase one vendor at a time and hours will vary by retailer, so be sure to check their social channels and get all the details.

What: If you’re ready to reacquaint yourself with the rolls, drops, spins, and thrills that only Playland can offer, then you’re in luck! The always-popular amusement park located in East Vancouver is open for another fun year. In total, there are 35 rides and attractions to enjoy, 14 of which offer an extreme experience for those who dare to ride them.

Mat Collective Free Yoga

What: Mat Collective’s 2019 outdoor summer yoga series features free classes at Kits Beach, on Main Street and in East Van throughout the week. In addition, there will be special events held throughout the summer.

Main Street Station Farmers’ Market

What: See, taste, and indulge at this bustling weekday market. With vendors lined up on the east side of Thornton Park on the sidewalk along Station Street, the Main Street Station Farmers’ Market is within ideal reach on foot for bus and SkyTrain users.

What: The thing that stands out most about Ava Mendoza is her rocker guitarist vibe, with her bed-head hair, a cool expression, and a chill attitude. Mendoza’s sound is experimental and she’s a guitarist, vocalist, and composer. Lucky for you, she’s performing and giving a workshop on three different nights: a solo at The China Cloud, at The Imperial with Unnatural Ways, and a workshop at Tom Lee.

Eyeing the Eaglets

What: Spot the young eagles of Stanley Park on this walking exploration to visit resident nesting families. Navigating their way through the canopy, these young and sometimes clumsy eagles are strengthening their wing muscles in preparation for life on their own. Come learn about these soon-to-be graceful predators that call Stanley Park home.
