Classical Coffee Concert: At the Movies

  • What: Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann, aka the Bergmann Piano Duo, are famous for their razzle-dazzle playing and eclectic music choices. They will perform music from the big screen, including Oscar-nominated songs by Jerome Moross (The Big Country) and Ennio Morricone (The Mission). This will be topped up with George Gershwin’s jazz-influenced symphonic poem American in Paris and a selection of Leonard Bernstein’s songs from 1961’s West Side Story.

Guided Tour at Lulu Island Winery

Fool For Love

  • What: Paying homage to award-winning playwright Sam Shepard, who passed last summer, an “ad hoc” collective of artists get together in the retelling of a classic. The prolific playwright is known for his bleak, poetic settings on the outskirts of American society, and Fool About Love is no different. About two transient lovers in a seedy motel out in the Mojave desert, ABB Collective brings Shepard forward for a new generation.
