What: Greendale Acres’ iconic maze is celebrating its 27th year in 2025, and the new design of the massive cornfield has longtime fans buzzing with excitement.
The field pays tribute to what the designers call “the quiet heroes of our farm and our food system” — the bee.
It’s worth making a day trip to Greendale Acres. With a giant corn maze, tractor and hay rides, farm animals, children’s activities, and more, your day will be filled with non-stop fun.

What: The ʔəm̓i ce:p xwiwəl (Come Toward the Fire) festival is hosted by The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts in collaboration with Musqueam. Indigenous artists, musicians, speakers, performers and dance groups from Musqueam as well as Indigenous nations across Turtle Island (North America) will perform this weekend.

Bard on the Beach
What: Bard on the Beach is one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare festivals. Science World’s Tech-Up Showcase – Free Admission
What: For one day only in September, the general public will have free admission to Science World as part of the attraction’s Tech-Up initiative.
Head to the Dome on Friday, Sept. 19, for the Tech-Up Showcase presented by Amazon Future Engineer. The day-long event is open to all ages and experience levels, with special programming in STEAM — science, technology, engineering, art and design, and math.
Entry will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, and Science World’s exhibits will also be open for guests to explore.

Jonas Brothers

What: NWA and Ride Along star Ice Cube is bringing the Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude tour to the Pacific Coliseum on Saturday, September 20.
Ice Cube launched his career in 1987 when he formed NWA with Eazy-E and Dr. Dre. He established himself as a West Coast hip-hop heavyweight with his work on Straight Outta Compton and his debut solo album, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, which sold more than a million copies.

Vancouver International Flamenco Festival
What: Celebrate all things flamenco at this annual festival of dance presented by Flamenco Rosario. There will be numerous live performances to enjoy by local, national, and international flamenco artists throughout the festival, including free outdoor events on Granville Island on Sept. 20 and 21 on the Picnic Pavilion stage.

The Magic of Fall

Britannia Mine Museum
What: The Britannia Mine Museum highlights an important part of the region’s history.
The actual mine operated between 1904 and 1974, and it used to be the largest copper mine in the British Empire. At one point in time, 60,000 people were living and working in and around the mine.
There’s a lot more to learn about this fascinating piece of history in their 50th Anniversary special exhibit, A Museum’s Journey. Check out interactive displays, immersive activities, and more.
